所有LinuxRen的节日

本月8号，IDG World Expo宣布他们将会在8月份的时候举行一个纪念Linux 15周岁的大会。内容会涉及到回顾Linux的一些里程碑式的大事件，以及对Linux的一些展望。除此之外大会还将重点讨论5个很重要的话题：企业级程序，虚拟技术，SOA(Service-Oriented Architecture，面向服务架构)，嵌入式技术，以及开源软件的开发。所有的话题都是全球的LinuxRen所感兴趣的。

大会将在8月14到17号在San Francisco举行。

过去的15年中Linux在很多领域取得了令世人瞩目的成就，包括: (数据中心)data centers, (后台办公)back-office servers, (嵌入式)embedded systems, （网格计算）grid computing and (高性能计算)high-performance computing。随着在全球被越来越多的使用，Linux在1998年得到了迅猛的发展，即使当时正值.com泡沫破灭的时期。其迅猛的势头一直延续到2004年，当时Linux已经包含了许多新的特征：对移动设备的支持，对NUMA的支持，高性能，以及对奔腾4超线程的支持。而这些话题都将会在大会上一一回顾。
